General Motors share hits lower than ninety years because of the lesser new productions and it dipped to 17.5%. The company’s vice chairman Steve Girsky announced at the New York international auto show that the company is going to pull back incentives.

It is shocking news for General Motors that its shares fell down in a short period even though last year the company got best selling auto maker award.

In USA during 2011, General Motors ended with 19.6 % shares and one of the analysts expected at least 19% this year even with big competitors like Volkswagen, Hyundai, Chrysler, and resurgent Japanese automakers.

The market share of General Motors fell 2.1 % in first quarter of 2012 and this has happened for the first time since 1922 even after the sales have slightly grown this year, but GM is not worried about the shares fall. They are introducing new cars in the market.

In 1920, GM was the second largest automaker in US auto market and the company is planning to return thirty percent in American market.
According to sources, General Motors is also competing in an automotive market and every company is trying to gain its shares in market.
