The 2009 Pontiac Vibe is the recent model of General Motors with the joint venture of Japanese automobile giant Toyota. The 2009 Vibe model is very similar to the Toyota’s Matrix when compared mechanically. Both Vibe and the Matrix are built based on the compact Corolla platform of Toyota and also uses the Toyota engines. The Vibe model is built at the NUMMI assembly plant in California.

 

The 2009 model is differentiated by its design when compared with its predecessor model. The Vibe is offered in three different models by the Pontiac- GT, AWD providing all wheel drive and the Base model. All the vehicles come with the features like electronic stability control as a standard feature, six air bags and anti lock brakes. The power locks and windows are provided as optional on the AWD and base models. The sport Vibe GT model includes the unique front end style, 18 inch alloy wheels, leather trimmed seats and with the Monsoon stereo system.

 

The interior region in the car looks similar to matrix model, which includes air conditioning, CD player and FM radio. The driver seat can be adjusted to required height, which makes the driver to see clearly. The rear seat in the vehicle provides more legroom and head room and is lined with hard plastic in the cargo area, which resists the smells and stains. The pop-up cargo organizer is provided as optional on the base model, which provides space to keep the grocery luggage and is provided as standard feature other than base version.
